A followup post on Syria – could this all be related to the Leviathan gas field? This is the huge gas field discovered in 2010. An interesting article regarding Israel beefing up security to guard the field.
Note the line in this article: The energy stakes are high. The U.S. Geological Survey reported in 2010 that the Levant Basin — encompassing Syria, Lebanon, Israel, the Gaza Strip, Egypt and Cyprus — contains an estimated 122 trillion cubic feet of gas and perhaps 4 billion barrels of oil.
There are some strange bedfellows – this has to be related to strife in Syria.
Is the Bulgarian Bus Bomb also related to all this?

Interesting that Israel immediately placed blame on Lebanese Hezbollah and Iran. My prediction: Israel is looking to get Lebanon to give up its rights to the gas field, and will either commit military force in Lebanon or otherwise strong arm Lebanon to give up its rights.
